The book is the first monograph on Chaz Bojorquez, best known as "Chaz", the Los Angeles artist who traced his own style following the Cholo Graffiti tradition. During the late 60's he started drawing and writing in the street of Los Angeles creating one of the first example of evolved graffiti/street-art in the US, some years before they started to invade the New York City streets. From the 70's he has developed a world unique style of illustration and calligraphy has marked a generation of visual artists, calligraphers and tattoists. A book which goes through his life and work presenting unrealesed photos and artworks.

By the end of 1969, Bojorquez had created a symbol that represented him and the streets-a stylized skull called Señor Suerte (Mr. Luck). It has become a gangster image of protection from death. Bojorquez quit what he calls "tagging" in 1986. Three of his paintings are now in the permanent collection of the National Museum of American Art in Washington, D.C. Four others are owned by the Orange County Museum of Art. Bojorquez is considered one of the few artists who have successfully made the transition from the street to the gallery.
