Résumé

The Marine Lipids conference has been held on 19-20 November 1998 in Brest. This meeting between research and industry was an opportunity to make assessments on current knowledge on marine lipids which appear to be of most interest in many fields. Communications reported in this publication refer mainly to analytical methods (extraction, derivation, separation, chromatography), lipid fonctions in marine organisms and in mammals, as well as existing and potential biotechnologies (cosmetics, biomedical, animal production, microencapsulation, liposomes).
