William F. Hostford
Biographie de William F. Hostford
William F. Hosford has degrees in metallurgical engineering (BS, Lehigh University, 1950), metallurgy (ME, Yale University, 1951) and metallurgy (ScD, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1959). He has worked for the General Electric Company (1951-61), served in the Signal Corps (1961-63), was an assistant professor at MIT (1959-63), and has been on the faculty of the University of Michigan since 1963. He is a member of ASM International, TMS-AIME, and the North American Deep Drawing Group. He has published more than 80 papers and two books. His research has focused on crystal-lographic textures, plastic anisotropy, and formability. His hobbies include wilderness canoe tripping and watercolor painting. He has been married more than 50 years and has four children and five grandchildren.
