He also holds certifications in the areas of fiber optics and network cabling, and is licensed by the FCC for installation and inspection of commercial radio and microwave applications. Today, in addition to writing books on technology, he regularly consults with leaders in the technology industry including Cisco, IBM, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, and Oracle.
