Fundamentals of Nonlinear Behavioral Modeling for RF and Microwave Design

John Wood, David E. Root - Collection Microwave and RF Engineering

222 pages, parution le 23/06/2005

Résumé

A revised collection of groundbreaking presentations made at a recent International Microwave Symposium (IMS) workshop, this cutting-edge resource provides a comprehensive treatment of nonlinear behavioral modeling for RF and microwave circuits and systems from renowned experts in the field. Presenting state-of-the-art RF and microwave applications, this practical book gives professionals hands-on techniques that they can use immediately on their current projects.

Fundamentals of Nonlinear Behavioral Modeling for RF and Microwave Design helps practitioners:

  • Create nonlinear behavioral models in the frequency and time domain, as well as in the envelope domain for wireless applications
  • Make large-signal microwave measurements for nonlinear model extraction; Use neural networks in nonlinear behavioral model generation
  • Understand the physical mechanisms responsible for dynamic nonlinear effects in microwave ICs, such as memory in power amplifiers
  • Become knowledgable about Volterra analysis, scattering functions, and envelope models

L'auteur - John Wood

John Wood works in the Modeling and Design Tools Group at the Worldwide Process and Technology Centers of Agilent Technologies. He holds a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Leeds.

L'auteur - David E. Root

David E. Root is a principal research scientist at the Worldwide Process and Technology Centers of Agilent Technologies. He holds B.S. degrees in physics and mathematics and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics, all from MIT. He is a fellow of the IEEE.
