'La Vérité captive' constructs an edifice of Meaning, abolishing - through Thought - all artificial distinctions between faith and reason, between literature and philosophy. The author proposes an integral rereading of history around Trinitarian ontology, while lucidly underlining the critical age of 'outre-modernité' into which humanity has been precipitated through giving credence to 'immanentism'. Maxence Caron takes us back to the historical conceptual origins that led to the crisis of contemporary ideology, due to the belief that the vocation of thought is accomplished by assigning it to relativist dogmatism.
