Brian Winston, currently Pro-Vice Chancellor at the University of Lincoln, worked as a Producer/Director on Granada TV's World in Action from 1963-1966. He has previously worked for the BBC and WNET (New York) where he won an Emmy for documentary script writing in 1985, been a columnist on Ink, The Soho Weekly News, and The Listener, co-produced a Canadian feature film and been a governor of the BFI. Messages is his thirteenth book.
