Joe Follansbee was introduced to streaming media in 1995, and within a year, he was working at RealNetworks, a leading manufacturer of streaming media software and related products. He provided technical and logistical support for major media organizations, including ABCNews, FOX Television, and MSNBC. He also managed quality control systems and wrote for the company's websites. In 2001, he started his own streaming media and web development firm, and he currently works as a freelance writer and independent consultant.
