Résumé
The term "Logo" derives from Greek and means "word" or "sign". And that's precisely what most logos are made of. Mostly it's a combination of these two elements that make a good logo. There are many logos, however, which consist of only one of the two components. In some cases, the borderline between the two seems to blur, and typography becomes an image.
Logos are omnipresent. They convey ideas and aims, and they are designed to communicate both an identity and an aesthetic. They also have to be instantly identifiable. Not an easy task for any designer.
Therefore we have compiled and abundance of new logos. On the following pages you'll find the best and most original works that were submitted during a worldwide competition. "Logo 2" offers a wide selection of remarkable examples of successful logo design from all fields and categories. Inspiration galore.
