A Guide to Frank LLoyd Wright Public Places
Résumé
First published by the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy, this guidebook contains a complete catalog of all Wright buildings that are currently open to the public. Although much of the architect's work is located in the Midwest, Frank Lloyd Wright enthusiasts will be delighted to discover Wright sites in every corner of the U.S., from New Hampshire to Florida, Texas to Oregon. In addition to a map and suggested itineraries, this guide contains detailed descriptions and visitation information for each of the sixty-six sites. A brief listing of sites in Asia and England is also included.
Five new entries on buildings recently opened to the public are presented in this, the third revised edition of Wright Sites. Edited by Arlene Sanderson, a consultant to the Conservancy who holds masters degrees in art history and journalism, and featuring an introduction by Professor Jack Quinan of SUNY Buffalo, this indispensable volume will guide travellers to some of modern architecture's Most important landmarks.
