The work of Yann Andre Leroy from the Brennan Beer Gorman firm in New York is best exemplified in an approach to design immediately identifying the nature of the building to be constructed and its relations to context in the very first preliminary sketches. This French-born architect prefers to work on an urban scale for two main reasons: his works slot neatly into the compressed spaces of a metropolitan fabric; each design has such carefully-articulated spaces to make it a an urban complex in its own right.
