An insiders guide to sourcing top talent

Jeff Grout, Sarah Perrin

242 pages, parution le 11/04/2002

Résumé

It reveals the strategies, tactics and practical procedures that will maximize the people-power driving your business success.

If you want to fill your company with smart ideas, then fill it with great people. In times of boom or bust, it is your people who provide competitive advantage.

Quality employees drive organizational performance and shareholder value, making recruitment a mission critical business activity. However, the changing dynamics of the modern work place are impacting on recruiting strategies. It is now essential to create a strong employer brand - a positive, distinctive public perception of the organization as an employer. Recruiting Excellence is an insiders guide to identifying, attracting, selecting, motivating and retaining top talent: The guide reveals the strategies, tactics and practical procedures that maximise the people-power driving your business to success. Recruiting Excellence looks at:
  • the strategic environment: from the changing employment market and employer branding to alternative means of recruiting.
  • the practical approach: from defining the vacancy need to reviewing CVs and application forms. It includes practical advice on effective interviewing, highlighting the questions that reveal candidates performance potential, as well as tips on the final selection.
  • after selection: from making the offer and negotiating the reward package to retaining key recruits. It also considers how to minimize the negative impact of poor performers and unavoidable redundancies.
