Applications and Science in Soft Computing
Series: Advances in Soft Computing
Ahmad Lotfi, Jonathan M. Garibaldi
Résumé
The series "Advances Soft Computing" contains publications on various areas within the so-called soft computing which include fuzzy sets, rough sets, neural networks, evolutionary computations, probabilistic and evidential reasoning, multi-valued logic, and related fields. The publications within "Advances in Soft Computing" are primarily textbooks and proceeding of important conferences, symposia and congresses. They cover significant recent developments in the field, both of a foundational and applicational character. An important characteristic feature of the series is a short publication time and world-wide distribution. This permits a rapid and broad dissemination of research results.
The book covers the theory and application of soft
computing techniques namely; neural networks, fuzzy logic,
evolutionary computing and complex systems. The book is a
collection of selected, edited papers presented at the 4th
conference RAGS Recent Advances in Soft Computing held in
Nottingham, December 2002.
It provides the latest developments in applications of soft
computing techniques as well as advances in theoretical
aspects of soft computing.
