Welcome to DDC Publishing's Creating Web Graphics, a course
that teaches you how to enhance Web pages with graphics,
images, stylized text, background patterns and colors, and
GIF animation. This course provides you with tips and
tricks for giving your Web site a professional,
eye-pleasing, multimedia flavor. Creating Web Graphics
focuses on the use of GEF and JPEG images in Web pages
while teaching the practical use of graphics that do not
burden Web users with long downloads or platform-specific
data formats.

Paint Shop Pro 5, published by Jasc Software, Inc. (www. j
as c. com), is the graphics application used to open, view,
and manipulate graphics files throughout this course,
including all hands-on exercises. A clone course featuring
Photoshop 5.x is in development.
