Philip Teale, Christopher Etz, Michael Kiel, Carsten Zeitz
Résumé
Building on the application patterns presented in ENTERPRISE SOLUTION PATTERNS USING MICROSOFT .NET, this guide applies patterns to solve data problems within the enterprise. These patterns are about the problems faced by those who build the data services in an enterprise class business solution. They address the need to create the database designs and the data services that exist invisibly to the applications that use the data; in other words, the data and services that exist within the data ecosystem.
The guide contains a pattern catalog of 12 data patterns, including implementations that use Microsoft SQL Server.
What this guide covers:
- Provides an overview of using patterns to build enterprise solutions
- Introduces a framework for organizing patterns into closely related sets according to levels of abstraction or subject area
- Uses the vocabulary of patterns to describe important design tradeoffs
- Traces the patterns to implementations that use Microsoft® SQL Server
