Résumé
We divided this book into seven parts. Each part contains
several chapters. Each chapter has a bunch of headings and
subheadings. It's all organized from top to bottom.
Part I. : HomeSite Is for HTML Control Freaks
To kick things off, we give you a guided tour of HomeSite,
showing you where to find everything and explaining what it
all does. We also explain how you can customize HomeSite to
work the way you want it to.
Part II. : WYSIWYG It Ain't
In Part II, we plunge into using HomeSite to create Web
pages and add text, color, images, and links. After that,
we blushingly admit that you can use HomeSite in a WYSIWYG
(what-you-see-is-what-you-get) mode after all.
Part III : Beyond the Basics
If you know everything there is to know about the basics,
you can dig into more advanced topics like forms, tables,
lists, and frames. And even if you have all that down pat,
you may want to find out how to add sound to your Web
site.
Part IV. : lcing the Cake
If Part III goes beyond the basics, this part must be
beyond the intermediate. In Part IV, we cover plenty of
advanced topics, such as using cascading style sheets,
JavaScript wizards, Java applets, and ActiveX
controls.
Part V. : Managing and Publishing
When your site's finished, you're just getting started. The
chapters in Part V tell you all about weighting pages,
spell checking, validating code, working with files and
projects, and some really advanced stuff like working with
ASP (Active Server Pages) and CFML (ColdFusion Markup
Language).
Part VI : The Part of Tens
Well, it just wouldn't be a Dummies book without a Part of
Tens, now, would it? Here, you find ways to improve your
site, places to find help on the Web, and tools to use with
HomeSite.
Part VII : Appendixes
Part VII includes a handy glossary of terms you need to
know and an appendix that tells you all about the CD that
accompanies this book. Speaking of which...
