The book introduces and explains new and fundamental concepts and components essential for building intelligent systems, focusing on the areas effusion, tracking and control. Part 1 examines software design architecture, software agents, sensor systems and biologically inspired algorithms that make up the intelligence of the system. Part 2 presents the topics of data and information fusion technology necessary for the design of intelligent systems. Data fusion elements, such as tracking, classification and sensor management, are discussed in detail. The contents explain the techniques for the fusion of multiple sources using cognitive intelligence. Systems working cooperatively to cater for intelligent sensing and control are also examined.
