First of all, thanks for your interest in this book. We have been working with SharePoint technology since the beta release of SharePoint Portal Server 2001 and have seen the product evolve to SharePoint Products and Technologies 2003. Because we were awarded with the SharePoint Most Valuable Professional title, we were one of the first to work with that release, and we consider it to be a major improvement.

With the passing of time, new and interesting topics related to SharePoint products and technologies have arisen, and Pro SharePoint 2003 Development Techniques is the first to cover them. This book discusses the landscape of SharePoint 2003 development today and beyond, integrating all of the new technologies that have already become or will soon become mainstream.
