Résumé
What is this book about?
The market for handheld PC applications is poised for massive growth; but holding all H/PCs back has been the complexity and outright lack of development tools to build these applications. Visual Basic for Windows CE meets that need by allowing existing VB programmers to add CE clients to their applications and databases.
This book provides you with the expertise and techniques you'll need to develop applications for the handheld computer using the Visual Basic for Windows CE Toolkit. The VBCE Toolkit combines the rapid development environment of Visual Basic with the features of Windows CE.
The book will take you through the features of the VBCE Toolkit, including ADO CE; and step-by-step, it will help you to avoid many of the common pitfalls of using the Toolkit. It will also show you how to get the most out of the VBCE language, so you can write professional CE-compatiable applications.
Who is this book for?
The book assumes that the main audience will already be VB proficient and cuts right to the chase providing all the information needed to create commercial quality CE applications. To use this book, you'll need a PC running Windows NT 4.0, Visual Basic 5.0 and the Windows CE Toolkit for Visual Basic.
