L'auteur - John P. Mulligan
is the creator of the 'Unofficial Guide to Solaris' Web
site, (sun.icsnet.com)--a popular site for users of the
Solaris operating system. John Mulligan spent the last
three years at the Computing Support Services department at
Lafayette College working on just about every aspect of
Unix systems administration and management. He migrated all
the college Sun SPARCstations from SunOS 4.x to SunOS 5.x
(AKA Solaris) last year. During this time he started to
collect as much information as he could about
Solaris-specifically the migration of SunOS 4.1.4 to
Solaris 2.5. A chemical engineer, John not only administers
Solaris systems, but uses it as a Chemical Engineer. His
research on modeling microfluidic flow was done on the Sun
Solaris workstations.
