He has nearly two decades of experience working on data products as well as operational management of petabyte-scale data platforms. In his current role, he leads the data science platform team responsible to support hundreds of data analysts and scientists developing analytics & ML for Intuit's financial accounting, payroll, and payments products. Prior to Intuit, Sandeep played various data engineering leadership roles at VMware, IBM, as well as founding a ML startup for managing enterprise data security. Sandeep has received several excellence awards, and over 40 issued patents and 25 publications in key technical conferences. Sandeep is a regular speaker at O'Reilly Strata Data conferences (a featured speaker at Strata London 2019); also a featured main-stage speaker at DeveloperWeek NY19. Sandeep advises startups, and serves as a Program/Steering Committee Member for several conferences including Co-chair of Gartner's SF CDO Executive Summit and Usenix Operational ML (OpML) conference. Sandeep has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
