Using Microsoft Office Access 2003 Special Edition
Résumé
Special Edition Using Microsoft Access 2003 offers authoritative instruction from Roger Jennings, a recognized Access expert with years of Access and client/server database experience. The book's organization follows the development process for typical Access database applications. Detailed, step-by-step instructions with icons guide readers new to Access through table design, data addition, importing data from external sources, query design and execution, and designing data entry forms and printed reports. Chapters on advanced form and report design emphasize data-entry efficiency and presentation clarity. This edition also has new chapters on collaboration with Microsoft SharePoint Team Server, and creating or consuming XML Web services, both of which are hot topics. The XML chapter is updated to include Access 11's new XML export/import features.
The accompanying CD includes all the book's Access queries, forms, reports, VBA code, projects, data access pages, and XML Web services; SQL Server/MSDE and Jet 4.0 versions of the Beckwith and OakLeaf Consumer Electronics (OCE) sample databases; Online transaction performance test application for MSDE and SQL Server 2000; Demonstration versions of third-party Access utilities. Web-based elements include live, data-intensive XML Web services that readers can use to test Access 11 Web service consumers.
