Annual 2008 - Bologna illustrators exhibition of children's books

For almost 40 years, publishers, illustrators and other members of the publishing community from all over the world have been coming to Bologna in spring to present their work and meet with each other.

A jury of selected publishers choose the best illustrators whose work comes under the general picture book and non-fiction categories.

The results are awaited with great excitement because the artists are competing on an international level.

The selected work is presented at an exhibition in Bologna and then published in a catalogue.

This high quality catalogue contains all the artists' biographies as well as the current status of illustrations in picture books and children's literature.
