Résumé
--
Roger Klaine talked and thought a great deal about his death. One evening, his collaborator and friend passed away in a less than an hour. This sudden rupture made him see death differently: the death of the other death as separation. He found himself asking certain questions: what has become of that woman who was laughing at the dining table, so little time before collapsing? Is the separation forever? Does this friend still exist in her originality and completeness, immediately after her death? And if so, where is she? What has she become? What is she doing? Drawing on the Bible, this little essay attempts to answer these questions. According to Jewish thinking, man doesn't have a soul he is soul, body and spirit. So by consulting the Bible, can we perceive what man might become immediately after death, moving on to a new stage in his existence - his entire existence - yet at the same time, a new one?
