The author is an Indian Benedictine monk, who studied theology . He has the benefit of also studying the Vedic tradition, the source of Hinduism, which provides tools for approaching certain passages of the Bible which otherwise remain misunderstood. This allows him to access a broader, more inclusive, more liberating understanding of the message of Christ. This spirituality beyond religions, based on God and not on religions, reaches all those who have left their church to find God.
