Résumé
--
Here, the author demonstrates that it is possible to conceptualize a 'writing of the real' that owes nothing to what we usually understand by 'reality'. If we define reality as 'what is', the real is beyond our world, before the emergence of signs and language. Studies of the works of Pierre Guyotat and Bernard Réquichot support the argument that it is indeed possible to write without resorting to immediate signification. Such writing originates in the body, and evolves from an 'unthought' zone whose tones are the colour of anguish. The relation between the stroke of the letter and the consistency of the subject matter is not an accidental one it is based on two extremes: the first signs written in prehistoric caves, and the aesthetic production encountered in clinical experience of psychoses. What emerges is a theory of the subject that owes more to the ontology of the accidental than to the permanence of being.
