Résumé
--
Fichte is not an unconditional advocate of the Christian faith but he has had a considerable influence on religious and Christian thinking. The least we can say is that he left his mark on theology by striving to articulate the relation between God and human subjectivity he is himself a theologian. Religion has never been entirely absent from his thoughts. But it was at the end of his life that he proposed the most elaborate vision of his theology. Knowledge of that vision helps us to penetrate to the heart of this deep and complex thinker's philosophy. Yet works about Fichte's theology are few in number. This book is the only one in the French language entirely devoted to providing a comprehensive yet concise presentation of the thinker of Rammenau's evolution, and the major themes of his theological reflection. It covers all his work, from the texts of the pre-Kantian stage to his last writings, when the philosopher approaches the Gospel of John and develops more than ever the themes of his theology. The conclusion evokes the relation between Fichte's thinking and hermeneutics, morals and Christian mysticism.
