I was old and fat, and people would make fun of me if they saw me try to run.#3 I had given up running so many times before, but this time was different. I had finally done it. I had run. It had been a long time since I'd sweated from exertion, and the sweat made me smile.#4 I spent the next day at a coffeehouse working on the novel I was revising. I did not tell anyone about my weight loss plan, because I didn't want anyone to get their hopes up. I was guarding my own hopes.
