Principles of Environmental Engineering
Mackenzie L. Davis, Susan J. Masten
Résumé
Principles of Environmental Engineering and Science is well-suited for a course in introductory environmental engineering for sophomore- or junior-level students. The emphasis is on concepts, definitions, descriptions, and abundant illustrations, rather than on engineering design detail. A theme carried throughout the text is the concept of mass balance as a tool for problem solving. The book includes more and better coverage of chemistry, biology, and hydrology than other books in this field. The chemistry review, in particular, is very useful to students, as is the book's excellent illustration program.
