Biographie de Hiroyuki Suzuki
Hiroyuki Suzuki was born in Tokyo in 1945 and graduated in engineering from the School of Architecture at Tokyo University in 1968. In 1974 he took a Master in Engineering at the University of Tokyo and between 1974 and 1975 conducted research at London's Courtauld Institute of Art. In 1984 he took his PhD, in 1990 he became Professor of Architecture at the University of Tokyo and in 1993 he was visiting professor at the Department of Fine Arts at Harvard. He has published essays and articles in leading Japanese and international periodicals. His books translated outside Japan include Shisendo. Hall of the Poetry Immortals, New York 1991, and Back from Utopia, Rotterdam 2002.
