Résumé

Industrial Britain is a core text for Y9 at key stage 3 of the history national curriculum. It is written for the core study unit 'Expansion, Trade and Industry, 1700 - 1900'. It forms a component of the Cambridge History Programme, an investigative course which provides a coherent and progressive programme of history; is directly accessible to all pupils and offers teachers practical guidance on assessment. Industrial Britain features enquiry-based units which pose key historical questions; a careful balance of investigation and explanation; overview sections to introduce and consolidate themes and concepts; activities ranging in difficulty which enable pupils to meet the Attainment Targets and an Attainment Target matrix for pupils and teachers.
