Owen Jay Murphy has an extensive background- both in the military and out-as a project manager in the international business arena. With much of his time spent in Europe and Asia, he has 15 years of professional experience developing, managing, and implementing various technical and research projects for Hughes, Raytheon, Thalus, The Aerospace Company, and overseas governments. He has a degree in electronics engineering from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from California State University-Fullerton, and has done post-graduate work at George Washington University and executive training at UCLA.

He is expert at directing all phases of project activities, including:

Identifying, marketing, and developing project opportunities
Staffing, organizing, and day-to-day operations
Risk identification, assessment, and containment plans
Integrated master plans and schedules (IMP/IMS)
Quality plans, ISO 9000 compliance
System engineering management plans (SEMP)
Profit and loss responsibility

He is active in his local community, serving on the Library Foundation Board, the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of Rotary International and other civic and military organizations. He is a regular contributor to the Corona Business Monthly. He served as an Army Officer in Vietnam and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Owen Jay Murphy is president of TransGlobal Consulting, LLC, which specializes in assisting companies to achieve their project goals.
