Issa Tchiroma Bakary has always been dedicated to public service. He
has survived being jailed as a political prisoner, even going on to become a government minister and a spokesman for the regime and has consistently managed the paradoxes of power without ever betraying his principles. Tchiroma is a man of resilience and integrity, dedicated to encouraging dialogue. His choices are always consistent: he stands with the people.
Tchiroma has officially announced his candidacy for the presidency.
As head of the Cameroon National Salvation Front (CNSF), he now seeks the highest office. His hope is to unite a fractured nation,
restore a true Republic and rebuild the state based on foundations
of justice, peace and honesty. This challenge is truly formidable in a
country that has been governed by the same leader for forty-three
years. Tchiroma is determined to work to bring together Cameroon's
rich national heritage of ethnic and religious communities. He is a
committed humanist who believes that"the other enriches us with
their differences,' and advocates a new approach to help the nation
on a path to unity, prosperity and peace.
