This book is about risk - that is those risks that affect an organisation in its everyday dealings with the world. Unlike many books on risk it is not solely an exercise in quantitative analysis but also seeks to examine the whole range of risks that face an organisation.

Risk Analysis and Evaluation will give direction to readers as to:

how one goes about identifying risks within an organisation;
identifying the risks to an organisation from the outside;
assessing the magnitude of those risks;
examining what is needed to control or minimise risks;
how to make sure that those risks are managed in a profitable way for the business.

Neil Cowan ACIS MIIA is a consultant in corporate governance, risk management and audit. Prior to setting up his own consultancy firm he had a long career in financial and general management in both public and private sectors. He has worked throughout the UK and Europe . and is the author of many publications and articles. His books include Corporate Governance -That Works! and Business Control, Accountability and Corporate Governance. He is a contributor to the Gee Corporate Governance Handbook
