IBM's MVS/ESA Version 4.0 includes dozens of new facilities
and utilities such as IF/ELSE logic, private proc
libraries, nested procs, and the ability to create and
manage disk data sets through systems management. This
extremely practical, hands-on guide skips the introductory
material found in most JCL guides and cuts right to the
chase with everything you need to master MVS/ESA 4.0
quickly and use it to create more understandable and
easy-to-manage job streams. Advanced MVS JCL examples shows
how to use new job stream coding techniques to create new
job streams or to make existing ones more readable and easy
to process. Janossy, who is on the faculty at DePaul
University, teaches by example with dozens of clear,
well-annotated, full-length examples. All examples are
executable and include real data set names, and they show
exactly how the JCL appears on TSO/ISPF screens. Janossy
also introduces Storage Management Subsystem (SMS) and
