AutoCAD 2004 for Architecture with AutoCAD 2005 Update
Alan Jefferis, Michael Jones, Tereasa Jefferis - Collection Delmar Learning
Résumé
Beginning with an exploration of the basic tools that control AutoCAD 2004, each subsequent chapter builds on the skills learned for a well-rounded exploration of each new command relating to 2D construction documentation. All the need-to-know information that current and future architects, engineers, and designers require is provided, affording readers the efficiencies and skills they need to apply AutoCAD 2005, and its improved application in the architectural and construction fields, using the previous release as its base in their professional environment. The book is an excellent resource for new users wishing to explore the computer skills needed to excel in architectural design, as well as for experienced CAD users adjusting to the new features and functions of AutoCAD 2005.
Stay up-to-date in Architecture while learning the latest tools and features of AutoCAD 2005!
Features:
- access to commands are presented through the use of toolbars and the keyboard, and are given in a logical sequence to help new CAD users master the power of AutoCAD
- exploration of the Sheet Set Manager, a special enhancement in AutoCAD 2005, that provides the user the capability to efficiently create, manage, and share sheet sets. Managing your drawings using the Sheet Set Manager reduces the risk of errors and repetition. Users can coordinate and update title block information, sheet numbering, sheet names, and detail labels across an entire sheet set
- step-by-step examples and exercises are architecture-specific, reinforcing skills needed to excel in architectural and construction fields
- review of the many updated drafting and productivity tools and features to assist in creating professional and accurate drawings including:
- creating tables, expanded tool palette enhancements, improved hatch capabilities, improved M-Text capabilities, and numerous improvements to common 2-D drawing commands.
- introduction to professional practice standards help relate AutoCAD to contemporary office practice
