Focusing on Web design, this book opens up the possibilities of working with comprehensive, high-performance, and easily expandable Macromedia ColdFusion platforms for creating dynamic Web sites and building large-scale e-commerce systems. Each chapter deals with a particular area of ColdFusion theory. Most chapters also include practice with the ColdFusion Markup Language (CFML) tags and functions used in that area in order to give the user a fuller understanding. The book covers the basic steps of installing and setting up the software, necessary skills for ColdFusion beginners, and the stages of planning web applications, including setting goals, defining business rules, developing a database, and designing the project.
