Steve Thomas is a musician, composer, arranger, audio engineer, and all-around media producer based out of Columbus, Ohio. As a freelance technical writer, he has created content for the Cool School Interactus series of educational CD-ROMs including Digital Performer 4 CSi Master; Pro Tools® 6 CSi Master, Second Edition; and Audio Plug-Ins CSi Master. Thomas also served as an audio engineer and instructor at the Recording Workshop, teaching topics ranging from basic recording/engineering concepts to more advanced applications of Pro Tools and Digital Performer within music and post-production environments. Thomas has been involved in the music industry for many years outside of his educational endeavors. He has worked as a session vocalist for Toshiba/EMI Records and has accompanied various Japanese artists as a pianist/keyboardist. He is currently hard at work promoting his media production company, Carrot and Celery Productions (www.carrotandcelery.com).
