Victor Gavenda has been fooling around with computers and music since the early '80s. Having done graduate work in the Music Departments of the University of Texas, Austin, and the University of California, Berkeley, he is currently Choirmaster of St. Clement's Episcopal Church in Berkeley. He has also written program notes for concerts of the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, and other performing groups in the San Francisco Bay Area. And obeying the adage that "real musicians have day jobs," he is also Senior Technical Editor at Peachpit Press.

Victor Gavenda is an editor at Peachpit Press. He
produces all the CD-ROMs that are packaged with Peachpit's
books, and has tech-edited many of Peachpit's titles.
Victor has been fascinated by 3D software for years, since
he hit upon the idea of trying to reconstruct long-vanished
French Baroque opera houses in the virtual realm. That
particular project never got anywhere, but he still plays
in Bryce whenever he can.
