Résumé

Internet networking is a multi-billion dollar industry and has begun to take business from telephone companies and broadcasters. Despite this, little is known about how the system actually works. Access providers, service providers, exchange providers wanting to be a player in tomorrow's Internet needs to understand its structure and also who owns (or controls) which pieces of the system.
