Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming Using Microsoft Visual C# .Net
Kyle Lutes, Alka Harriger, Jack Purdum
Résumé
While there are many books used to teach introduction to programming courses, very few books combine the elements of 1) teaching computer programming from an application developer perspective, 2) teaching Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) by integrating it throughout the text, and 3) using C# as the programming language to teach concepts and techniques.
Benefits:
- Features a "learn by doing" approach, so realistic, business-oriented examples as well as detailed explanations are used to illustrate concepts and demonstrate how to apply them.
- Relies less on code generating wizards than most other books, to promote a more complete understanding of programming.
- Focuses on Windows forms rather console applications, allowing students to create useful Windows programs resembling many of the programs they buy for personal or academic use.
- Provides sidebars where appropriate to discuss tips, techniques, and common programming mistakes.
- Includes the C# .NET 2003 Standard Edition CDs with every Student Edition of the book.
