Most people buy computer books to learn, yet it's amazing how few books are written by teachers. Joseph and I take pride this book was written by experienced teachers, who are familiar with training students in this subject matter. In this book, you'll find carefully developed lessons and exercises to help you learn Dreamweaver 8-one of the most capable Web development tools available today.
This book is targeted at intermediate- to advanced-level Web designers and Web developers who are looking for a way to learn about the more complex and powerful features of Dreamweaver 8 quickly and easily. The premise of the hands-on approach is to take you to the next level quickly with Dreamweaver 8 while you actively work through the lessons in this book. It's one thing to read about a program and another experience entirely to try the product and achieve measurable results. Our motto is, "Read the book, follow the exercises, and you'll learn the program." I have received countless testimonials, and it is our goal to make sure this motto remains true for all our Hands-On Training books.
This book doesn't set out to cover every single aspect of Dreamweaver 8, and it doesn't try to teach you how to hand-code a Web site from scratch. What we saw missing from the bookshelves was a process-oriented tutorial teaching readers advanced principles, techniques, and tips in a hands-on format.
