L'auteur - John Morton
first started working on the booklet which was later
developed into his book before he even entered the sixth
form. Teacher Max Horsey saw how successful his work had
been in helping other students understand PIC programming.
At his suggestion, aged just 16, John approached Newnes
about publishing his book. A detailed proposal was worked
up which involved John in a lot of extra homework in
extending part of the book and adding projects - testing
them out on his fellow pupils as he went along!
