reference guide; this is an excellent, concise and
condensed information resource for developers. This pure
Java reference book covers Java 1.2 class libraries. New
for the 1999 edition are 250 examplets(tm), consise
examples that succinctly describe the most common
operations in the libraries.
The four parts of this cross-referenced compendium consist
of packages, classes, topics and a cross-reference of and
interfaces. Packages are in alphabetical order and include
brief descriptions. The 600 pages of class tables include
class trees, member lists and inherited members from
superclasses.

L'auteur - Patrick Chan
Patrick Chan, CTO of Bluelight.com, was a founding member and lead developer of the original Java platform project at Sun Microsystems, Inc. He was the winner of the 1998 Duke Award at JavaOne and he is also co-author of the Java Class Libraries books and posters in the Java™ Series.
