ArcCatalog, part of a suite of integrated applications in ArcInfo 8, makes accessing and managing geographic data simple. You can easily find the data you need, quickly review and display its contents, and read or create documentation (metadata). You can also manage coverages, shapefiles, and other spatial data stored in folders on local disks or in relational databases that are available on your network.
