A Good Day's Work

Sustaining Ethical Behavior and Business Success

Alice Darnel Lattal, Ralph W. Clark

288 pages, parution le 25/01/2007

Résumé

Being ethical is about doing the right thing for the right reasons, assessing near-term gain against longer-term consequences. Ethical actions today build a better tomorrow for us all. But ethical actions in the workplace can often be very difficult. How do we rise above the pressures of the moment to do what is right as a part of creating lasting business success?

A Good Days Work presents scientifically proven methodologies for sustaining ethical performance in the accomplishment of sound financial objectives. It contains concise descriptions of ethical behavior, clear examples of both right and wrong actions, and effective strategies for changing behavior. Because even the best intentions in the workplace can all too easily be lost in the drive toward financial success, everyone in the workplace can benefit from a renewed focus on ethics within the context of profitability. From the mail room to the boardroom, and from local to global workplace challenges-you and your team will learn how to achieve consistency of purpose, higher morale, an enhanced reputation, and new heights of values-based profitability.
