Résumé

For many people, the main question about extraterrestrial life is whether or not it exists. To much of the scientific community, however, that question bas already been answered : It does. And it's probably within our own solar system. David Darling explains the new science of astrobiology as it is already being practiced at NASA's Astrobiology Institute and the University of Washington's new Department of Astrobiology. The latest findings all point in one direction : Life is easier to start up and is possible in more diverse environments than previously thought. Life Everywhere tells why many scientists believe its discovery is inevitable, and what they think we will learn from it.
