Résumé

The main intention of this book is to help students on educational courses in strategic management to learn about the subject and to develop skills and expertise in using strategic tools. It is also our intention that that this is done in a way that gives due importance to the role of creativity and innovation in strategic management. Obviously, then, this book is mainly intended for students and teachers in an academic setting. But we would also hope it is of interest to practitioners who want to develop their personal capacity for thinking and acting strategically.
The case studies have their own pages where we have updated the material periodically to reflect major changes that have happened since the cases were written as well as links to the company's own site and other useful ones. Our aim is to keep the cases 'alive' by adding to the text in the book changes more or less as they occur. When using a case it is always worth checking this site for the latest details of the case as well as going to the links we have provided. If you find any good material on one of the cases please let us know so we can incorporate it here.
