Résumé

How to Pass New CLAIT 2006 Using Microsoft Office XP has been written and designed to help you to study for New CLAIT 2006, to remember what you have learned and to pass the exams with confidence!

Fully covering the New CLAIT 2006 syllabus - using the most popular and commonly-used PC software (Microsoft Windows XP; Office XP; and Internet Explorer 6) - How to Pass New CLAIT 2006 provides everything you need to understand and apply the subjects covered by the syllabus, and stresses seven vital elements intended to make your studies more accessible and successful:

  • An overview of the qualification and what you must know in order to complete each unit.
  • Clear guidance on how to carry out all the activities- from opening the appropriate software package to changing the look of a graph, adding a new slide to a presentation or inserting the correct picture into your publication.
  • Exercises that offer you the chance to practise your skills.
  • An opportunity to work through entire assignments - set out in the same manner as the final assessment, these also provide model answers and can be compared to your own work to establish where marks might have been lost.
  • Help in avoiding mistakes - some of these, known as critical errors, will lead to instant failure. Within each chapter, the critical errors are highlighted in the text and summarised at the end. Other errors may occur because a word is misspelled, or because instructions are not followed correctly. Some of these errors are more common than others and are highlighted.
  • A final, self-assessment checklist for each unit allows assessment of your own skills to ensure that there are no gaps in your knowledge or capabilities.
  • A comprehensive glossary so that all the technical terms and computer jargon mentioned in the book - or met during your studies - are clearly understood.

The main benefits of New CLAIT to you as an individual are that it:

  • Raises your level of competence in IT and computer skills;
  • Improves your productivity at home and at work;
  • Requires no prior knowledge of IT or computer skills;
  • Provides you with an industry-recognized qualification.

Everything you need to know to demonstrate your competence in computer skills and pass the New CLAIT tests, all in one book!
