This book presents a comprehensive overview of vacuum technology and begins by summarizing the properties of low-pressure gases. It then describes the theory of vacuum technology, including the mathematical modeling of gas transfer in vacuum systems, before considering vacuum production and measurement The operation of pumps and gauges is considered including analysis of the physical processes occurring within them.
